Well, in English, an early bird is someone who gets up early in the morning. Now I hate waking up early, but because of my job sometimes I have to get up before 11 o"clock in the morning.

I know - that"s terrible, but I do it, just for you. Let"s find out about some other Londoners.

I have to get up in the morning at 6 a. m. I have to get up at half past 6 every morning.

I have to get up in the morning at 6:45. I have to get up at 8 o"clock.

I have to get up at 5 or 6 o"clock. I have to get up at half six.

The word "have" ends in the sound /v/, doesn"t it - or does it? Listen again: what sound can you actually hear?
Have这个单词有/v/的发音，是吗？再听一遍，你到底听到了哪一个发音？
Also, pay attention to the pronunciation of the word "to". . . . . . .
同时也要注意"to"的发音。
When we use the verb "have" in its modal form: "have to", meaning an obligation, the /v/ at the end of the word changes to an /f/. Also the vowel sound in the word "to" changes to a schwa//.
当我们把have用做情态动词时，"have to"的意思是一种服从，单词结尾/v/的发音要变成/f/。还有"to"中的元音也要变成一个schwa音//。
"Have to" becomes /hft/. Here are some more examples.
"Have to"就变成了/hft/。这还有一些例子。
They have to be there by 10. We have to find another flat.
他们必须十点钟到那。我们得再找一间公寓。
You have to tell me the gossip. I always have to take the train.
你得告诉我传言是什么。我总得搭火车。
