英语 can 和 be able to 的区别

英语中，be able to 和 can 都有“能”的意思，但是它们的用法有所不同，今天我们一起来学习一下。

1. be able to：表示有能力，侧重指通过努力而获得的能力，这个词组有人称和数的变化，并可用于多种时态。

例句1：If you hurry up, you will be able to catch the bus.

如果你抓紧一点，你就能赶上公交车。

例句2：You must be able to speak French for this job.

干这项工作你得会说法语。

例句3：If we budget carefully we"ll be able to afford the trip.

我们精打细算一点，就能够负担这次旅行。

2. can：表示自身所具备的能力，没有人称和数的变化，且只有现在式和过去式两种时态。

例句4：Mary can speak French.

玛丽会说法语。

例句5：He could hear the beat of his heart.

他能听到自己的心跳。

例句6：Max could always get around her.

麦克斯总能说服她。

另外，can 除了表示能力上，还可表示请求、许可或推测等，这是be able to 所没有的意思。
