We have an old musical instrument. It is called a clavichord. It was made inin 1681.

Our clavichord is kept in the living room. It has belonged to our family for a long time. The instrument was bought by my grandfather many years ago.

Recently it was damaged by a visitor. She tried to play jazz on it! She struck the keys too hard and two of the strings were broken. My father was shocked.

Now we are not allowed to touch it. It is being repaired by a friend of my father"s.

[2] a friend of my father. 我父亲的一位朋友。在英语中通常用-"s和of结构来表示所有格。-"s的结构通常用在人名和表示人称的名词的结尾，of则常与无生命的名词连用。

各个时态的被动语态：
[1]一般现在时的被动语态：is/am/are+及物动词的过去分词
I am asked to study hard.

Dinosaur eggs were laid long long ago.
[3]现在完成时的被动语态：has/have+been +及物动词的过去分词
This book has been translated into many languages.

[5]含有情态动词的被动语态：情态动词+ be+及物动词的过去分词
Your homework can be handed in tomorrow.

My bike is being repaired by Tom now.
Trees are being planted over there by them.
[7]不定式的被动语态：to+be+及物动词的过去分词
There are twenty more trees to be planted.
