状语从句
今天来继续学习写作满分句型——状语从句。
什么是状语？
状语修饰动词、形容词、副词或整个句子。通常由副词、介词短语、动词不定式、分词和从句等担当，说明时间，地点，程度，方式等概念，位置很灵活。
1. Naturally, our grandparents were pleased to get our phone call.（副词）
当然，我们的祖父母乐于接到我们的电话。
2. We worked hard, from sunrise to sunset.（介词短语）
我们工作得很努力，从日出到日落。
3. To help my disabled aunt, I spend an hour working in her house every day.（不定式）
为了帮助我残疾的阿姨，我每天花一小时在她的房子里工作。
4. Seen from a distance, the farmhouse looked deserted.（过去分词）
从远处看，农舍显得空荡荡。
5. I know how to light a camp fire because I had done it before.（从句）
我知道如何点燃篝火，因为我曾经做过。
作文中的任何一句话，都可以给它加一个状语成分把句子拉长。在第一段描述图画或图表的时候，一定要加状语，使图画和图表的描述显得很完整。
描写图画的万能状语：
in the vivid picture/cartoon
in the simple but meaningful caricature
...
分析原因的万能状语：
as every private individual tends to see it
in light of/with the rapid advance of science and technology
in our contemporary society
in the routine of everyday life
although many/quite a few people fail to pay attention to the problem...
...
状语从句主要用来修饰主句或主句的谓语。一般可分为九大类，分别表示时间、地点、原因、目的、结果、条件、让步、比较和方式。
状语从句满分句型
（1）although引导的让步状语从句
作文中任何一句话的旁边都可以加一个although引导的让步状语从句，对这句话的意思进行弱转折。推荐写在作文的第二段分析原因的时候使用。
例：Surfing on the internet exerts great influence on the study and work of teenagers and youngsters, although it definitely makes our daily life more convenient.
尽管上网让我们的生活更方便，但是会影响青少年的工作和学习。
（2）so...that...结果状语从句
只要作文中出现形容词或副词的地方，都能写成so…that…句型。推荐写在第一段的最后一句话，引出文章中心的时候使用；或者是第三段的第一句话，文章总结的时候使用。
万能的结果状语：
sth proves so significant/fearful that it should have been brought into the limelight under modern conditions.（that后面尽量自己写）

污染变得很严重，以至于需要采取很多措施来缓解目前的情况。

（3）分词做状语
把分词放在句子的主谓之间作为插入语来使用。本句型推荐写在英语一大作文的第一段，描述一幅图，一个主体，两个动作的时候使用。
▲模板：sb（定），doing sth1（次要），+定/状 is doing sth2（主要）+定/状
那我们来试一下：
描述一下下这幅图吧。
先写简单句：
The two disabled men threw away their walking sticks. They are helping each other by running shoulder by shoulder.
两句合成一句，分词作状语：
The two disabled men, throwing away their walking sticks, are helping each otherby running shoulder by shoulder.
