What is a Conjunction? 什么是连词？
What is a conjunction? In grammar, an English conjunction is a part of speech that connects two words, phrases or clauses together. You can use a conjunction to link words, phrases, and clauses, as in the following example: 什么是连词？在语法中，英语连词是连接两个单词、短语或从句的词性成分。你可以使用连词来连接单词、短语和从句，如下例所示：
The park is empty now, but it will be filled with children after school. 公园现在是空的，但放学后会挤满孩子。You can stay on the bus until you reach London. 你可以一直呆在公共汽车上直到你到达伦敦。
List of Conjunctions in English 英语连词列表
There are three types of conjunctions: Coordinating Conjunctions, Correlative Conjunctions and Subordinating Conjunctions. 连词有三种类型：并列连词、关联连词和从属连词。
Coordinating Conjunctions 并列连词
We use a coordinating conjunction “for,” “and,” “nor,” “but,” “or,” “yet” or “so” to join individual words, phrases, and independent clauses. 我们使用并列连词“for”、“and”、“nor”、“but”、“or”、“yet”或“so”来连接单个单词、短语和独立从句。
An easy way to remember these six conjunctions is to think of the word FANBOYS. Each of the letters in this somewhat unlikely word is the first letter of one of the coordinating conjunctions. 记住这六个连词的一个简单方法是想想FANBOYS这个词。这个不太可能的单词中的每个字母都是一个并列连词的第一个字母。
Subordinating Conjunctions 从属连词
A subordinating conjunction is a word which joins together a dependent clause and anindependent clause. 从属连词是连接从属从句和独立从句的词。

Correlative Conjunctions 相关连接词
Correlative conjunctionsare pairs of conjunctions which work together to coordinate two items. They always appear in pairs. 关联连词是一对连词，它们共同协调两项。它们总是成对出现。
There are many different pairs of correlative conjunctions: 关联连词有很多对：
either…ornot only…but (also)neither…norboth…andwhether…orjust as…sothe…theas…asas much…asno sooner…thanrather…than
Correlative conjunctionsconsist simply of a coordinating conjunction linked to an adjectiveor adverb. 关联连词由一个连接形容词或副词的并列连词构成。
