三．状语从句：（时间，地点，条件，原因，结果，目的，让步，比较） 主将从现
◆时间状语：when ， while, as, / until, since, before, after, / no sooner……than （刚……就.）, hardly……when.（一.就……）/every time ， the moment ， the instant ， as soon as……= when
when （瞬间）, while（持续，对比）, as（同时变化） 当我放学的时候，她已经走了。
When i got off school, she had left.
当他在看电视的时候，他老婆在做饭。
While he was watching TV, his wife was cooking.
天气逐渐变冷，树叶也变黄了
As it gets colder ， the leaves turn yellow.
2.until, since, before, after
0.1他四天之后才回来。
It will be four days before he comes back.
Someone hang up the phone before I could answer it.
0.2 Since:自从，因为；
He hasn’t been happy since he came back（since+过去时间==现在完成时）
0.3 Until，till 直到……时候……
I was at home until 9. 我9点才不在家。
0.4 Not ……until……直到……才……
I won"t do it until tomorrow.
3.no sooner……than （刚……就.）, hardly……when.（一.就……）
（否定副词开头表强调部分倒装）
部分倒装=陈述句变一般疑问句；
You can do it ------can you do it?
You will never get it -------- never will you get it!
我一到家就下雨了。
I had got home / it started to rain.
Hardly had I got home when it started to rain.
No sooner had I got home than it started to rain.
4. every time , the moment , the instant , as soon as....= when
I fell in love with you the first time I saw you.
Every time I see you , I’m so happy.
◆地点状语：where,wherever
有志者，事竞成。
Where there is a will , there is a way.
I put my pen on the table.
I put my pen where you did your homework
I found my lost purse where we went finishing the last time
I will go wherever I can find a chance.
◆条件状语：if, unless , once, as long as , provided that , if only, as if , even if （真实，虚拟）
Unless=if not
I won’t take it unless you go with me.
Once, 一旦这个病毒广泛传播，就很难控制了。
Once the virus is widely spread,it can hardly be controlled.
As long as 只要
As long as you don’t agree with it , the decision doesn’t count.
◆结果状语从句:so.....that... /such....that...
他这次表现太好了，赢得了全世界的称赞。
He performs so well this time that he wins the praise.
He does such a good performance this time that he wins the praise.
他跑的很快，没有人能追上他。
He runs so fast that nobody can catch up with him.
He is such a fast runner that nobody can catch up with him.
◆原因状语从句：because,as, since, for, now that, in that, considering;

As:已知的原因，正如
You’d better do it yourself, as I’m busy right now.
Since: = now that 句子开头
既然你今天有空，那么你多待会儿
Since you are free today, you can stay here longer.
既来之，则安之。

For:补充说明 ：为了（介词） 后+名词； 因为，由于（连词） 后+句子。
It must have rained last night, for the ground is wet now.
Considering: 鉴于
Considering you have good manners here, I may give you a prize.
◆目的状语从句：so that, in order that, in case..., for fear that...
In order to do = to do （是介词后面不能跟句子，所以不能引导目的状语从句）
你要大点声这为了大家都能听到你。
You must speak louder so that / in order that you can get heard more clearly.
你记得带把伞，万一下雨了呢。
don"t forget to bring an umbrella with you, in case it rains
我刚才没给你打电话，担心打扰到你。
I didn’t call you a moment ago, for fear that I might disturb you.
◆让步状语从句：though , although, even though, even if, whatever, no matter what.....
（despite , in spite of , regardless of,介词 不能+句子 不能引导让步状语从句）
尽管我很相信你，但是我也得多考虑考虑。
Though I trust you a lot, I have to think twice.
Even if he comes here, he won’t visit me.
Whateveryou do , I still love you.
=no matter what you do , I still love you.
特殊： 介词+ 名词 （despite, regardless of ,介词 后面+名词）
尽管困难很大，我们也要迎难而上。

Regardless of ; 不管，不顾
不管前面有多少危险，我都会一直努力奋斗的。
I will always try my best regardless of the hardship.
介词+名词
I’m tired of it.

◆比较状语从句：
倍数表达法：
房间A是房间B的两倍大。
A is twice as large as B.
A is twice larger than B.
A is twice the size of B.
北京的人口比上海要多。
The population ofBJ is larger than that of SH.
She is more nice than wise.
More A than B...... 与其是说B而不如说是A。
我吃越多的蔬菜，我就越健康。
The more vegetables I eat , the healthier I get.
